Basic information
We have hundreds of objects in our collections, many of which are on display in our museum. The exhibits are divided into several thematic groups.
Our ambition is to show visitors the technology that was used in the underground. Due to the end of mining activities more than 50 years ago, it was very difficult to find exhibits that were used exclusively in the Upper Town. These are represented only in limited numbers, but on the other hand, it is possible to show a number of other exhibits which, as a whole, offer visitors a comprehensive view of the development of mining technology. Visitors can thus see a number of several comprehensive collections relating to these areas:
• MINING LIGHTS oil wick, carbide lamps, safety lamps, el. lamps
• RESCUE EQUIPMENT self-rescue apparatus, breathing apparatus
• DETECTION TECHNOLOGY gas analysers
• BLASTING launchers
• DIGGING AND DRILLING jackhammers, drilling hammers, drill bits
• MINERALS OF RD JESENÍK galena, gold, silver, etc.

Due to ongoing reconstruction works in the House of Culture, it is not possible to visit the museum at the moment. We will inform you about its reopening on the website and on Facebook.
